Course on Sonoguide Interventions and Procedures in Musculoskeletal Diseases

A new concept of interactive, dynamic and multidisciplinary of two and a half days course for musculoskeletal specialist where the workshops represent more than 70% of the learning process. Face to face with the best specialist in new diagnostic and therapeutical techniques.

International faculties from different disciplines interact for the participant to acquire the following skills:

  • To recognize the anatomical structures that are essential for diagnostic and therapeutic interventionism in musculoskeletal conditions
  • To be able to perform joint and periarticular soft tissue diagnostic techniques such as biopsy or synovial fluid study.

To be able to perform the local techniques for the treatment of musculoskeletal diseases both at the spinal and peripheral levels.

Educational Objectives.

  • Musculoskeletal anatomy and sonoanatomy
  • Ultrasound (US)-guided diagnostic and therapeutical musculoskeletal procedures
  • Synovial fluid analysis

The focus will be on the following US-guided procedures

  • Joints: wrists, MCPJ, IPJ, elbow, shoulder, ankle, knee, hip, MTPJ, sacroiliac, facets, subtalar joint
  • Periarticular: bursas, tendons, entheses, fascias
  • Botulinum for muscles and Raynaud phenomenon (nerves)
  • Nerve blocks
  • Calcifications and crystal deposits
  • Synovial biopsy
